Free casino RV camping? Love it.
Outlet shopping and free casino camping?
Restaurants and entertainment too?
Point me in the right direction, I’m in!
Check out these free casino RV camping spots with outlet shopping onsite! When you’re all shopped out, choose your favorite restaurant and take a break. You could even take a mini vacation at some of them. Who knew?
Take a zipline from the 33rd story, go bowling, ice skating, roller skating or go kart racing? Yup! All from your free casino RV camping spot!
This is one of my favorite RVing options, I love being able to walk to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Especially if we’ve been on the road traveling for a while, it’s a welcome change of pace.
What to know
This is dry camping in the casino parking lot – no hookups. You can definitely put your slides out and unhook but don’t expect more than a spot in a parking lot.
Call ahead to confirm that you’ll be able to spend the night – things change and it’s a lot easier to find out before you arrive.
Follow the rules and leave your spot as clean or cleaner than it was when you arrived. Every casino has different rules, if in doubt ask.
Casinos provide the spots because they want you to come in and try your luck or visit the restaurants.
There is even a book dedicated to Casino Camping locations throughout the US, it was one of the first books we bought when we hit the road back in 2012! The updated version is now available on Kindle.
Tips & tricks
Often you’ll get a discount on restaurants and some sort of free play when you sign up for a (free) casino players card. Sometimes there are other promotions too, like free play or a free meal for your birthday. If you are a full time RVer with a mail forwarding service make sure to opt out of snail mail.
Happy hour! Check for the best specials – then plan to hit the restaurant during happy hour for extra savings on your meals.
Most outlets have coupon books or sales – you can find them either on the website or at the office. Why not save more if you can?
And now for the free Casino RV Camping spots…

18 miles west of Palm Springs
90 miles east of Los Angeles
- Free RV dry camping
- Desert Hills Premium Outlets
- Cabazon Outlets
Morongo Casino, just west of Palm Springs, is an easy overnight stop just off I-10. While you are there you can check out the casino, go shopping at the outlets, choose from numerous restaurants and even go bowling.
The RV lot is east of the main casino and behind the semi lot. When we visited the lots were separated, with one section for semis and one section for RVs. They have done quite a bit of construction recently so that may have changed.
Casino security let us know that there is no need to check in here but it’s still a good idea to call and make sure nothing has changed before you arrive. If you plan to stay here more than 36 hours you’ll need to let security know.
It’s about a half mile walk to the main casino from the RV lot and shuttle service is available.
Tip: If you park along the fence at the back of the lot you’ll have a great view of the mountains.
Morongo has two outlet malls onsite, Desert Hills Premium Outlets and Cabazon Outlets so there are almost 200 outlet stores total! The outlets are about 1.5 miles away from the RV lot so you’ll probably want to take the shuttle. It runs from the casino to the outlets every hour on the hour. Call the casino 5 or 10 minutes before the hour and they will send the shuttle over to the RV lot to pick you up.
Between the casino and the outlets there is a wide variety of restaurants so you’ll have plenty of options if you’d like to eat out.
Tip: If you’re into roadside attractions the World’s Biggest Dinosaurs are right up the street. Just take a left out of the RV lot and follow the road for about a mile, the dinosaurs will be on the left just beyond the Shell station. After you’ve seen them, you can hop back on the I-10 from here too.

The Viejas Outlets and the casino are walkable from the RV lot but there is a shuttle as well. You’ll find a range of restaurants at both the outlets and the casino if you want a night off from cooking.
During the holiday season you can even go ice skating beneath the stars and the glow of holiday lights at the largest outdoor rink in Southern California. In the warmer weather it’s an outdoor roller skating rink. Check with the outlets for hours and dates. There is also a 12 lane bowling alley if that’s more your speed.
